CURRICULUM
Real estate science, which in Japan is a field of study unique to Meikai University, is a comprehensive study of our living environment, including houses, apartments, office buildings, shops, and land use. Students study real estate distribution, finance, development, investment, management and administration in a comprehensive manner to cultivate the ability to think about and judge real estate from multiple perspectives. They also acquire problem-solving skills through practical programs that address social issues such as vacant houses and community revitalization in cooperation with local governments and private organizations.
The department offers two courses that train real estate professionals to play an active role in society: Social Design, which provides a comprehensive study of real estate science, and Real Estate Appraisal, which trains students to become real estate appraisers.

Social Design Course

Foster Real Estate Professionals Who Are Active in Society
Students develop the ability to evaluate real estate from multiple perspectives through a comprehensive study of the six areas of real estate (distribution, finance, development, investment, management, and administration) and acquire problemsolving skills through practical training. As the culmination of their four years of study, students have the opportunity to become certified real estate notaries—a certification that is indispensable for real estate-related businesses.

Real Estate Appraisal Course

Fostering Professional Real Estate Appraisers
Students are trained to become real estate appraisers under the attentive guidance of faculty members who are licensed real estate appraisers and have extensive practical experience.The course cultivates advanced, specialized knowledge and practical skills for appraising, valuing and consulting on land, buildings and other real estate, and produces professionals who are an immediate asset to the workforce.
